Goalkeeper Nathan Baxter has returned to parent club Chelsea to undergo treatment on an ankle injury. The 24-year-old, who has made 12 starts this season, has not travelled with the rest of the Hull City squad for the week-long training camp to Trkiye.

But bossLiam Rosenioris hopeful Baxter will be return to full training in Cottingham next week. Rosenior said: Nathan has been playing with an injury but there is a bit of damage in the ligament part of his ankle.

We want to make sure thats 100 per cent right and for him to get the best possible treatment and care.

It was in all our interests for him for to use the fantastic facilities Chelsea have, do his rehab there and be ready to come back and be part of our squad for Watford.

Hopefully by the start of next week, in the build-up to the Watford game, hell be back training fully.

Hulls squad arrived in in Turkiye on Sunday night, with Rosenior having brought a big group of more than30 players on the trip. A raft of young players are part of the travelling squad, including in-form striker Jim Simms, Will Jarvis, Matty Jacob, and goalkeeper Harry Fisk.
